Education/Experience/Qualifications:

Master’s Degree from an accredited educational institution. Must have or be eligible to obtain a Virginia Teaching License with a Reading Specialist endorsement. Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience at the elementary level teaching reading.

 

TEN MONTH (200 DAYS), INCLUDING IN PART PAID STATE RETIREMENT & STATE MANDATED LIFE INSURANCE & IN PART FOR HEALTH INSURANCE.

• Demonstrate ability to diagnose reading strengths and weaknesses and develop instruction to meet individual student needs.

• Demonstrate ability to provide effective reading instruction and intervention in phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.

• Demonstrate excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
